Hello,

Any opinions about this ?

Electric Bike - up to 40miles, 36v battery, disc brake on eBay (end time 04-Jun-10 18:18:08 BST)

Superb high quality Italian Moskino Electric Bike equipped with powerful 36v 10a lithium-ion battery. The bike comes brand new and boxed and is a mountain bike style. It's robust yet light Aluminium alloy frame make it perfectly suited for road, trail or towpath conditions. This bike has the benefit of the seven gears rather than the usual six and the Shimano Index System (SIS) makes changing gear much easier as they click into gear with out having to tease it in. Each bike comes equipped with a bell, reflectors, sprung rear rack, kick stand, mudguards, bottle holder, two mounts, front and rear lights. Disc brakes on the front allow for greater stopping power compared with traditional brakes. The Eagle has the added security benefit of a lockable battery. With comfort in mind, the bike is designed with a large padded seat which can be adjusted for height and suspension front forks to absorb small bumps. The power is delivered by a twist activation throttle integrated into the handle. This powered bike will reach the UK legal speed limit of 15.5 mph on motor alone but combined with human power could achieve more! Featuring an improved efficient hub drive system, power to the motor is halted when brakes are applied (for increased safety and preservation of the motor) If you want a more sporty look take of the easily removable pannier rack to give the bike a bit of edge.

Looks like a Wisper clone to me, so I would be sceptical of the claims of 'High quality Italian'

Yes, it's a cheap Chinese bike, probably imported into Italy at one time, often others around similar at various times.

It will probably work well and be quite powerful, but the component quality will often be low and can be troublesome, commonly things like poor disc brake, short battery life with difficulty getting a replacement battery.

So the risk of buying one could pay off with years of good use and replacing the battery after a couple years with someones else's mounted on a carrier. On the other hand, it it goes wrong the chance of getting spares and support is minimal, possibly acceptable if you are technically competent.

Judging by the reviews of the Italian "Oxygene Atala" & "Aprilia" eBikes in atob magazine the bike may be better off being a chinese product....

Although judging by the title of the review of the Oxygen Atala the Italians had the edge over the chinese in one area..... ( "Hopeless bike, but sexy photography")

cheers.

I quote:
"Oxygen Atala starNo StarNo StarNo StarNo Star
Oxygen Atala

Price: From £695 Rating: 1/5 Verdict: "Hopeless bike, but sexy photography"

Oh dear oh dear. It's almost beyond belief that a machine this poor could have made it on to the market, but here it is - Italian with US characteristics. Without dwelling too long in this dreary place, the Oxygen is over-weight, over-priced, unstable, under-powered and much else besides. In the test, we summed up by saying '...the wrong sort of motor, drawing too much power from the wrong sort of batteries, mounted in the wrong place...', which just about covers it. Still, the Italians are very good at photographing attractive young ladies, so we must forgive them.

We have tested the Oxygen Atala once, and will almost certainly never return.
Aprilia starNo StarNo StarNo StarNo Star

Rating: 1/5 Verdict: "Best forgotten - a complete disaster area"

Aprilia's Enjoy has been withdrawn, and we're not surprised. It looked the part, thanks to some wicked Italian styling and lots of techy bits, but it was inefficient, over-priced, poorly designed and generally a bit of an also-ran. And you needed a mortgage for a replacement battery...

We have one road-test of the Aprilia Enjoy Race.

Well if the bicycle is bad he will only sell one in our forum and that will be the last one he will sell if he get bad critics.

The seller said that he is on the road and he will respond in this specific thread.

Gave him the link.

Thank you

sounds a bit sinister....be carefull of what ?
Sorry Dan, not meant to be sinister at all, I simply meant don't but this bike thinking it is a Wisper.

My Australian dealer bought a few clones before discovering Wisper and has had problems with frames snapping. I don't know if these are the same bikes but prospective buyers should check the welds.

All the best
