WD 40 has insulating as well as drying properties so I would stop using it.

I think you can get some stuff for electrical connections, but using that is unlikely to be a reliable solution.
Yeah good idea I use it externally and it keeps the worst of the weather off computers and that sort of thing and the chain if raining. But thanks.

Hi Steve, I notice that you have not posted anything on this subject for a couple of weeks, are you OK now or can we help?
Hi David. Thanks for the reply but in the end it turned out to be the clutch in the back wheel which axcces bike did for me but the bike is still not quite right as it creeps when standing still and I only had high power which has now sorted itself but I notice that the controller on the handlebars has condensation in it so am waiting to dry it out and see what happens.
Regards Steve.

Best regards

David

Thanks a lot that's very good of you and excellent service. Also I was wondering if there is another Freego Eagle in the country with more mileage than mine and mine is still going strong ish ?? So far I recon I've covered at leased 12000 miles and many a lot more.

Hi Steve, that's a good score! To be honest we don't know of the highest mileage, however a lady, Mrs Bird from Southampton called on Friday to say she had completed, 18,000 in three years! If anyone has ridden a FreeGo further we would be pleased to hear.

All the best,

David

Hi All.Just to keep you all updated with the motor problem it turned out to be the clutch in the motor of my Freego Eagle along with a damp controller!! and it works ok (kind of??) the only things now are that it seems to switch between power modes occasionally and it creeps when standing still with no pressure on the pedals and the controller on the handlebars is misted up witch I am putting the problems down to but I am trying to dry it out ( do they come apart!!) but not to bad and I must admit the weather was absolutely dreadful for two weeks of riding through it so pretty good for the bike I suppose and it was left outside in the rain for hours at a time???.So thanks for all your helpand especially David from F.W.G group who has shown that they do try to help us owners on this forum.
Regards Steve C
