need some help on BMS kit

I finished putting together a q128c motor with a s09 sinewave controller and LCD3 display.
Sofar I have the motor running on the throttle but it does not react at all to the pas sensor.
Am I doing something wrong in the settingss?
Like the C1 parameter for power assist sensor?
This has all these settings such as forward 5 signal or reverse 10 signal which is frankly speaking abracabra to me.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Is the PAS disk on the right way around?

If it's the wrong way round it will work when you back pedal!

First worth ensuring the sensor is within a few millimeters of the ring. If it's too far away it won't work.

disk is on the left side with the magnets facing towards sensor. Sensor (red plastic part) is only a few mm away from the magnets.

Magnets should probably be facing out or at least mine do with the same PAS kit from BMSB.

tried back pedal and magnets outside... no succes.

I had a controller from BMSb that simply refused to do PAS. I tried known working sensors/discs, in all possible orientations. I tested and traced the pins, so I was sure which was +5v, 0v and signal. I even simulated it on the bench.

I gave up with that one and used it on one of my throttle only bikes.

which PAS have you got? some models only work on the right side.

would be the same as pedal back when on the left side and i tried that.

some models have a very clever hall sensor that work with either side of the PAS disc but won't work on the left side of the BB. I know so because I have one of them. I fitted it on a triple ring with a lot of fiddling. When the PAS disc fell off, I replaced it with bmsbattery left side BB sensor.
