Looks like it would be huge fun off-road, and for longer now with the 11 Ah battery, Batteries soon get emptied on the rough stuff.

Given the rotten support from the manufacturers of the Haibike, hopefully one of these others will find their way here with an agent Eddie. That market is wide open here at the moment.

AVE XH3-5-7 range is available in this country now and to my mind look rather tasty . Again its a question of support I have great confidence in my dealer ONBIKE to do whatever is necessary but if a part is simply not available there is not a huge amount they can do ( short of stripping off another machine). We are back to a similar debate again although I can say in 3-4 years of ownership I must have been one of those lucky ones having never needed any repair/replacement of any part

Alan btw. the Bulls looked tasty also

I really like the bulls range with Go swiss motors was rather surprised to see them produce Bosch bikes. they have been flavor of the year (2011-2012) in Germany. elaiability isues early on so maybe a bit early, but they dont seem to have any intert in UK so a risky import purchase I would think

here are a few from large range. cant find copper head my favorite... powerful and quiet.

Must say the wide range of e-bikes available in Germany and the Netherlands is enough to make UK consumers jealous. Add their far better cycling infrastructure and we have to conclude that life just ain't fair!

Take a £750 mountain bike, slap a Bosch derailleur destroyer on it and charge nearly three grand.

Nice work if you can get it.

I dont think so somehow.....the component list is above, your welcome to do the math. shocks alone near half your comparison

Also its the hub gears Bosch have alleged problems with not dérailleur? Anyway have seen no evidence of breakages on German forum where these bikes have been popular for 2 years...not one thread. Just because shimano wont guarantee the hub gears means little...

while looking for something else came upon this, and remembered Cakey mentioning Nicolai

Nicolai Mountain Ebike Climber | ELECTRICBIKE.COM

Also:

"Two new entrants to the bottom bracket e-drive market have shown their wares at the Taipei Cycle Show.

Bosch in collaboration with Gates Carbon Drive Systems and Fallbrook Technologies (NuVinci) have produced a showcase bike, a prototype meant to demonstrate to manufacturers how their new products could be implemented in new bikes. Karlheinz Nicolai, well known for the G-Boxx and Grace e-bikes, has created the concept and is responsible for the collaboration. The NuVinci N360 and Gates belt drive are used in combination to provide smooth shifts without ratio gaps, shift shock or noise. Suggested price for the "collabo" bike is around $4,200.

TransX (JD Group), meanwhile, have shown their own bottom bracket drive weighing 4.1 kg with integrated torque & speed sensors for pedelec operation and can accommodate up to 3 chain rings. TransX have also demonstrated keyless smart card operation with a vibration based alarm system. The drives and complete bikes should be available by mid 2012.

Joining Optibike, Panasonic, Clean Mobile, amongst others, it seems these companies are pushing new boundaries in the development of BB e-drives giving the hub drive manufacturers, mostly from China, a run for their money."

Another good find Eddie! Ok, it's probably a costly machine but it all seems nicely integrated and I should imagine it will be a nice ride. In a store near you no time soon, I fear!

I don't know and dont really care that much, I have already said not my type of bike.... Obviously a bike with limited appeal, but they have lots of bikes on offer probably trying to establish a better reputation, and challenge other makes..

funny thing though, The spec is high and I bet the profit probably less then what you make on one of your bikes....

Do we know how much is the replacement battery costs for these Bosch 11 Ah batteries, one of the reason I quitted the BH bikes was that all of the replacement Bosch parts had to come in from Germany ,the replacement 8 Ah battery without profit or delivery costs was £450,that is against the spirit of what e-bikes are all about, to my mind.
How much for 11 Ah?
