Hi everyone,
I am new to the forum and ebikes but keen to get going asap. I looked at all available battery choices and NMC is really attractive. Best power to weight ratio of any battery. Hence I contacted a NMC pouch cell manufacturer and ordered a 24V 20Ah battery pack with BMS and a charger 24V 20A. Expecting the arrival in the next 5-7 days. The battery pack configuration is 7S1P 24V 20Ah.

The cell specifications are:
Typical capacity: 20Ah
Nominal Voltage: 3.7V
Full Charge: 4.2V
Discharge cut off: 3.0V
Charging Current: Standard: 2A
Max: 20A
Discharging Current: Standard: 2A
Max: 50A
Internal Resistance: <= 5MOhm
Weight: 450-460g

If anyone has used NMC batteries, I'd be interested to learn from them what to look out for. I understand the same chemistry in these cells is used in the Tesla ev sports car. I thought if it's good enough for Tesla, it is good enough for me. Nissan also apparently chose this chemistry. They can't be all wrong. Can they?

Thank you in advance.

NMC is now used in most ebike batteries. There's lots of derivatives of it too. It's a shame you didn't tell us before you ordered. There's probably a lot of better batteries than what you've ordered. A 36v or 48v one would probably be better
