New controller

Hi need you help guys a friend of mine got a new controller. As is old one just stoped working have got the same one make and model but it sound rough on startup. All the phase wires and all sensors are connected correctly itjust sounds horrible compared to his last one could he try connecting the phrase wires in a different order

Check the connector at the motor. Look for any signs of heat damage or poor connection.
If there is a bad connection on one phase it makes the motor sound awful, rough and clanky.

It does sound rough and clunky when you sit and give it some throttle after that is sounds ok
