Yes, it's published by VeloVision alternative bike magazine and has been good, I subscribed, but the proprietor Peter Eland is trying to sell both his titles with no luck last I heard.

If he doesn't find a buyer for this title he was going to close it down shortly. The fact you downloaded free may mean that has already happened.

Finding my (electric) wheels

I'm the publisher and Flecc is correct that I'm trying to find a buyer for the magazine - I'm attempting to retire from publishing in due course. There are some interested parties in the running so I'm hopeful the magazine will continue - it's exciting times for electric bikes - but anyway I'm committed to continue it myself up to at least Issue 10. So still several issues to come.

The magazine has always been available to read free online and as a PDF download - you can access all issues to date at:

http://www.electricbikemag.co.uk/read.php

but I obviously do have to charge (modestly) for print version subscriptions. It's supported mainly by the advertising, and making it free online means it gets read as widely as possible, ditto the reviews.

Only log on here occasionally but happened to spot this. Glad you liked the mag Steve!

Good to hear that there are still issues to come Peter, and I hope during that period you will be successful in finding a buyer for the title. In my view it has been by far the best provision yet of an electric bike magazine for the UK market. All the back issues are well worth a read, the range of reviews alone being helpful for newcomers in narrowing down the bewildering choice that exists in this market.

It certainly helped me in my difficulty choosing from the bewildering range and prices. It still re-read the passed issues so I have an understanding of the problems some members have with their bikes. All bikes are not the same that's for sure. Let's hope it continues in the current form.

Nor should she if she doesn't want to. Whether she does or not is nothing to do with you so please mind your own business. Should you consider this response rude, consider your own ill-manners in appointing yourself an arbiter on what others wear.

That's a tad waspish, Flecc.

The bloke merely made an observation, not a criticism.

Come on, why was that comment made? It's obvious isn't it?

What someone wears is their own business. If it's peculiar it can legitimately attract comment, but why would anyone comment on someone not wearing a hat in an age when few do? Would anyone comment on someone not wearing a scarf? Clearly it was a specific criticism, not merely an observation.

I'm sick of the helmet propaganda popping up all over the place, and in this thread it was completely irrelevant.

But obviously wound you up a treat
Because this interfering nonsense deserves a fight back.

If, after full consideration of all the factors, universal cycle helmet wearing was desirable, we can be certain our regulation mad governments would have introduced compulsion. In fact they've blocked all attempts to do so, showing that a balanced view does not justify the propagandists. Ergo, they should shut up and mind their own business.
