I took delivery of my first electric bike last week-a Wisper 905 Torque-and am thoroughly enjoying the new experience. I had a cardiac arrest last summer which meant I had to be rebooted and subsequently upgraded, but it has left me feeling breathless at times particularly if I ventured out on my old pushbike when hills were involved. The electric option was something I had considered for a while and was amazed, when I took a test ride in September, at how it enabled me to enjoy cycling again. The hills just disappeared! (I live in Kent so the hills are not exactly mountainous but nonetheless can be demanding). I am retired now so am able to commit to leisure biking rather than commuting.
