I am not involved with them, but just found it whilst surfing for bottle batteries and thought it looked nice.

They seem popular with 28 sold. I like the look of them with the bottle battery.

I just liked the bottle bottle battery arrangement. The kit looks robust and would suit a non DIY enthuiast, who did not want to fit a kit.

As you say price seems good too. Its UK based and reports of their kit support are good..

Reminds me of a budget Cytronex lol

I have always liked the look of their identical I guess bottle battery kit.... I would be concerned with the quality of frame and wheels (bike weighs 27kg) and still think the kit fitted to a nicer bike would be the better option.....

Hint: If you live anywhere near Birmingham, you can visit their warehouse and negotiate a sizeable discount on that price (as I did) because they won't have to pay paypal and ebay fees.

Also, I'm not sure about that weight. It may well include the weight of the charger and box. There's nothing in it that would weigh any more than any of the other Chinese Bafang 10aH bikes, which generally come out at about 25kg or less like the Kudos Sport at 23.8kg that has heavier forks and a heavy steel structure under the battery. I suspect that this 8fun bike's weight is nearer 23kg.

I've come across this model before but whether it was in these pages, on fleabay or elsewhere, I can't quite remember. It looks as good in the advert as most of the budget hub-drives we see mentioned regularly now in this forum so I imagine it's a decent buy at the price.

If there's no, or minimal, after-sales service, I'd guess the price would be roughly what a similar bike from a dealer with premises, offering decent back-up might charge plus £250-300. It's like a cash & carry price, if you like.

They do give very good after sales support, but only by post or from their Birmingham HQ or by phone if you can understand chinese English.

I used them for parts and sourcing as well as information

Inbrought a complete Bms for one of the batteries for a fiver which I could use for a lipo setup in the future.

It's the SB QSWXK. I've got one and it is a fantastic motor. Very quiet, great power up to about 20mph and remarkably little drag, in fact unnoticeable apart from added weight. Fits in standard 100mm drop outs and takes a 180mm rotor.
