black carbon bike in vid looks really nice......But in discussion on endless sphere where I saw this Japanese guy posted saying these are fine for his 38kg wife and Japanese housewife genrally but hopeless for his 100 kg frame...

A crying shame as a lovely looking bike that is probably a reasonable weight as well

Nowe that Panasonic have taken over Sanyo it's the same motor/battery/torque sensor thing as their regenerative system which they are testing under the Panasonic name with 3000 of them in Japan.

We've already seen this combination here in a very limited number, but with the braking regeneration left off and no carbon frame. This was the Agattu F, front hub motor but otherwise looking like the Agattu C:

I work for a Japanese company, and 38kg is certainly possible. Its about 6stone, tiny by western standards, but possible. I'm slightly more curious about the 16 stone Japanese male and the issues that might cause this couple!
