I would like to invite all non UK residents to be be put on the map.

As you will see when you look at it, our little island in the north Atlantic is practically sinking under the weight of electric bikes:eek: Pedelecs.co.uk - Members' Locations - Google Maps so please send your location to this thread http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/electric-bicycles/1573-where-do-you-live-v2-0-a.html ,we would love to see where you are:)

Of course, it goes without saying UK residents are also welcome on the map.

(Sorry Django;) )

fair play to reaching out overseas (I'd obviously like to see more e-bikers here from SE Asia for instance!) but zoom in to the map of the UK and you will see how some regions have far more ebikers than others...

Loneliest of all have to be Anthony at Whakatane in New Zealand's north island and Tex in Australia's New South Wales, both the sole representatives of their countries.

It's quite lonely here in Milton Keynes, although I have seen and spoken to several e-bikers around the city, only one of them is on the forum, but he has never posted and doesn't want to be on the map. The irony is he designed the Redway cycle routes along with other notable achievements, but the only time I came across him by chance whilst cycling, he was lost:D
So come on Wayland or I will out you..........doh, I think I have done it already:eek:

A chap working for the bank my employers use (who also works in MK) mentioned seeing an ebike in that area. He thought they were a good idea!

Not lonely here; I'm wrapped in the warmth of comradeship from Pedelec.co.uk mates in the Old Dart. And Anthony has sheep for company anyway-- about 45 million sheep to be exact.:D

The only thing that makes feel bad about distances is sending your kit back to the US for repair: takes about 2 months door to door. At least if I bought a UK product I could take it with me on my frequent business trips back there.

I only meant lonely on our members map Tex, just one bike symbol in each country. :(

I know there's plenty of e-bikers in both countries, mostly with the common complaint of lack of local service. Oddly enough it was just as bad in many parts of the USA. Living in the centre of the country for example could mean 1000 miles plus to the nearest e-dealer and not even any manufacturer's importing companies holding spares. It's improving a bit there now though.
