Just been out to get my new Agattu to its fast flash stage on second conditioning charge.
It went 23.4mls (on medium) before slow flash on this charge, about another mile before fast flash.
I had decided to alter my route home to involve cycling up a short sharp hill and then a gentle climb all the way back. I sure didn't anticipate my bike going from from fast flash to switch of in very short order. It cut out about halfway up the short sharp hill, had to drop down three gears very quickly and put full effort in.
The ride back was achieved in third and fourth gears, hence the title.
Not much fun!:(

Having had mine run out today, i feel for you, although there were no significant hills left for me. This is a pleasant problem to have, figuring the range and capability of a new eBike. I'm hoping mine increases after a few charge cycles. I still plan on carrying an extra battery at some point.

It's a bit of a learning curve gauging the range. I can just about manage 20 miles on full assist, but charge up at work to be on the safe side.

My Aurora range rose dramatically after the conditioning charges. I reckon if I rode it on level 2 assist it would easily manage 25+miles. Unfortunately I find it impossible not to use 'full'!:D As for another battery? Cripes, that would add some weight!!!

Good to hear. What's the weight of an extra battery though? 5kgs? I weigh 100kgs and the pannier with tools and stuff cant be far off another 5-10kgs.

Normally it should give more like 3 miles or more beteen the slow and fast flashing stages, but you are still doing the new conditioning so it's too early to make a judgement.

The distance after reaching the fast flashing stage is short, usually about a mile or two.

One more thing, battery performance drops off greatly in very cold weather so now is not a good time for assessing the range and performance.

Exactly the same with my Connect Pro. I've had it run out previously on my 20 mile round trip when using too much full, so charge up during the day so I can go full for the whole journey :)

Sometimes the headwinds knock me for six and I need all the help I can get.
