who told you it was a better bike then a Wisper I wonder.... The dealer? Ha hah ha
I and many others on here have been very happy with Wisper bikes and the support and backup is probably among the best around......
They kinda have a bit of a reputation for cheap shots....Yes you got it in one it was the dealer at 50 cycles but i don't believe everything i am told that why i joined Pedelec so i can get the opinion from people like yourself on this forum as i said it a lot of money to spend and i would like to get it right first time

They kinda have a bit of a reputation for cheap shots....
They criticise the Bosch system (which has taken Europe by storm) in favour of (surprise surprise) their own main brand of Panasonic powered bikes
They have been slagging of Ezee bikes but they have not sold them for years!lol
Real electric bikes from 50cycles UK. eZee Forza electric mountain bike - high performance electric bicycle
So to this list we can now add Wisper....
Take Franks advice and try a range of bikes first.
There's so many bikes to choose from. There's nothing wrong with Oxygen bikes. As far as I can remember, there's no significant problems ever reported on this forum. Those that bought then said that they were very happy with them.I am about to buy a oygen stylee-mate citye-mate silver at £1 400 any problems that i should be aware of or is there a better bike at this price i have been told that this a better bike than the Wisper so am i spending my money wisely
Thank you for high lighting this Eddie, with regard to the eZee Forza link, I would just like to say that the early Phylion Lithium Ion batteries used by eZee back in 2007 bear no comparison to the high quality eZee batteries of today.......apart from the shape of the case that is.They kinda have a bit of a reputation for cheap shots....

Hi David
Both bike brands, Wisper and Oxygen, are members of BEBA and have good reputations for quality and reliability. If you have the money, have tried them out, if you trust the reviews then go for it.
Electric bikes save you money, keep you fit, are good for the environment... what's to think about?

I think they will be probably selling the high speed Bosch Kalkhoff models this year as the latest 36 v panasonics are now extremely expensive!I hadn't seen that particular piece of advertising till you drew attention to it Eddie and I'm bound to say, I'm very disappointed that a firm of 50cycles' standing should adopt such a despicable marketing strategy. There's no need for it as their range of ebikes sports many highly-regarded models and they have built a decent reputation so such a tactic, in my view, just diminishes that reputation.
In a year's time, I expect they'll be selling Bosch-powered ebikes in addition to their current range. That will be interesting!

Yes reputation...If they will damage another companies reputation out loud on their web site ( one they have not sold for 4 years!) you can just wonder what they can say privately to people hence the criticism of Wisper
I know that Wisper and Oxygen have a healthy and cordial relationship, probably steaming from their membership of BEBA. So no surprises why 50 cycles are not members as they would be unlikely to get away with such tactics if they were I would hope....
If they are members now they should act in a more decent manner IMO
not looking forward to ordering the new Bosch model from them now......but sometimes unpalatable truths needs revealing
Are the bosch kalkoffs not going to be very expensive as well? Nobody seems to know how much replacement batteries are for bosch bikes either.Could you possible give me some information on this new Bosch model your talking about or tell me the web site i need to go to to get this information please
Bosch replacement batteries about 5-600 euro. the cheaper model Kalkhoff Bosch S class was approx £2450 last time I looked. the new Panasonic 36 volt S class over £3700 and Sahel models £3300...... I cant check as computer speed problems, but you can look at euro prices on this link:Are the bosch kalkoffs not going to be very expensive as well?
