Some initial observations.
It is a geared motor, the reduction ratio being biased towards good hill-climbing rather than high speeds on the flat.
The motor incorporates regenerative braking, activated by a light pull on the brake lever.
Some info gleaned from the road test of the KTM E-cross P.
The tester mentioned the absence of any state-of-charge reporting on the LCD panel. Apparently there is no warning of the battery approaching "empty". So what's it going to be like pedalling the thing with a flat battery?. Remember, any motor providing regenerative braking cannot have a freewheel clutch to isolate the reduction gears, so it might be a bit like riding through treacle. The tester makes no mention of how it rides on a flat battery.
The first link below is a description of the motor. A link is provided to the road test. Just in case you miss this, I have provided a second link to the road test results. Both reports are translated from German. It takes a few seconds for the pages to appear.

ROAD TEST
I was told last night a KTM E-cross P fitted with this drive is arriving in Swindon sometime next week...I'll have to pop along and have a squint at it.
