Parts advice please..

I am hoping someone can give me a recommendation for the following conversion I hope to start soon.


I have a hard tail mountain bike that I use for winter commuting of 15 miles per day round trip, I fancy this as an interesting project and due to a worsening back sometimes could do with a bit of assistance from an electric motor.
The bike has 26” wheels, hydraulic disc brakes, 21 speed shimano gears, Hollow techII crankset, Rockshox front forks. I already have some batteries that I can use, so just need a compatible set of parts that I think are

Front or rear wheel hub motor (not sure which is best?), LCD screen, control box, Peadal assist sensor, rack to hold the batteries.

I want to get everything from the same UK supplier if possible so there is a greater chance of it all working first time!

Rear wheel kit needs to be a cst motor kit to take you splined 9spd cassette. You will need to file the rear dropouts for the axle to sit 3 or 4mm deeper. Most kits come with a battery though there is a German ebayer on uk ebay that sell kits with out batteries.

States the kit as 32/35km/h so about 20/22mph max speed, doesn't state hub rpm but assume for this speed it may be 260/270rpm. Emialing thr vendor may shed some more light on it.

Yes I have a Mxus kit from them. It was the cheapest option (kit + shipping) available to me at that time. Woosh may be a bit cheaper now. Service? Yes they answered my questions in a timely manner.

It has a KT controller, so no need for brake sensors. You can choose cassette motor or freewheel motor. The price seems reasonable. It looks OK to me. IIRC, though I'm not sure, another forum member ordered something from them, but was unhappy for some reason that I can't remember, so do a search to see if you can find anything. He might have told us on Endless-sphere if it's not this forum.
