Do you live in L.A. Vikki? 10 miles from most UK towns and you're in the seaOther than that I'd have to do 10 miles before I even got a sniff of the countryside.

I can do that too. But I reckon two miles (due) south and I would be on the Isle of Wight. Two miles south and I would be in the sea![]()
Come to think of it Bigbee I don't agree with this sentence either. The real reason an electric bike would be pointless for me personaly if I was cycling purley for exercise is that after the first week or so it would sit there gathering dust (like the exercise bike I've got set up in the cellar)."If I was cycling purely for exercise then an electric bike would be pointless, if I wanted to do less exercise then I would simply go on shorter flater rides."
I agree with most of your post Patrick but not this.
Your period of half hour daily exerciseing is more than I've ever been able to sustain, which is why I'm looking to get an electric bike. Once I've spent my train fair for the year on a bike that provides a practical means of getting to work I won't be ble to avoid regular exercise.

What a great idea. Ye Olde Powabyke would need a re-charge though, by the time she hit Bournemouth proper, I should think. How about some of us who live on or near the central South Coast meeting up say in the springtime and going for a pedelec, seeing a few sights, pub drink and or meal, etc. I'm in Bournemouth - 'phone number on request, Just a thought. Yes, Wisper have a base at the Sammy Miller Motorcycle Museum at New Milton and held an e-bike show there last year. David Henshaw and family of A to B fame used the train and Bromptons to get to it from Dorchester and told me there was a station nearby. If I'm not mistaken New Milton crops up in some of the Wisper posts and that's in the New Forest not too far from Bournemouth. I think there are trains from Waterloo that pass nearby too.

Got to think about that one David! Can I come too?![]()

All things considered, New Milton sounds like a good place for a meet.OK how about I get the first round!
