Finding my (electric) wheels

My reason for buying an E-bike is kind of outwith my control.
When I was a kid I adored bikes and was never off them but my true passion is cars … in particular Lotus Esprit’s

However, I had an epileptic seizure a few years back and the first thing that happens is they stop you driving for a year.
I bought a standard bike - Marin Larkspur and found that I got pretty fit in the space of a month but the one thing I hated was that I live at the top of a hill and every time I am out on the bike I know I have a 10 minute hike up a hill at the end of the trip.
It’s a real psychological barrier that spoils the experience of cycling.

Unfortunately I have had another seizure so the Esprit is back in the garage and I am back to 2 wheels for the next year.

With an e-bike I wont have that horrible climb up the hill at the end of the run.
I tried cycling to my office the other day and it took about 40 minutes on my normal bike.
I recon that I can get that down to 25 minutes on an e-bike, it will get me to work feeling fresher and the best thing about it is… guess how long the journey home would take in a car… about 30 minutes

E-bikes … here we come.:)

Good luck when you get the e bike Gordon, I'm sure you will enjoy it, they have transformed cycling for me and many others, a very pleasant experience now instead of an endurance test :)
