You may need to turbocharge them Frank, the Swedish pedelec motor assist speed limit is 30 kph/ 18.75 mph.

Sorry, the Swedish law says 25 kph/15,53 mph.

Basically it says that only pedal assisted systems up to 25 kph and 250 watts are allowed. If any of these limits are exceeded it is a moped.

Thanks for the correction Mats, I was going by a chart of the law variations by EU nation that I had on file. It seems that the figure I quoted might be some class of moped requirement and it shouldn't have been included in the pedelec listing.
