I don't think you have a problem with your motor. This is exactly as expected. Although all most motors have freewheels it comes after some planetary gears. These are connected and spin all the time and cause noticeable drag when riding - the faster you go the more the drag. The Nano or Tongxin has a different mechanism called a roller drive - this completely disconnects the motor from the wheel - no gears are turned and there is noticeably less drag. Thus bikes with this motor are more bicycle like to ride.Hi Frank, can't say I have mate. What I describe as resistance may well be my having to push the extra weight of the motor. But the X-6 definitely doesn't downhill as fast as my old Claude Butler Odyssey. Which itself is a bit of a beastie!.
