I've got a Wisper bike which I've had for about 3 years now. It has been great until this week when it's just started cutting out on me. It doesn't seem to happen at any particular time (eg after going over a bump in the road) and has even done it when I've been coasting downhill (not pedalling). I read somewhere that the battery connectors can get a bit bent out of shape but all looks fine there.
I did notice a slight smell when I took the battery out tonight though (it cut out 3 times on the way home from work today) and it felt a bit warm.....but that's the problem - maybe it always felt a bit warm and I never noticed (but you'd think that in 3 years I might have done
). I'm wondering if anyone could advise whether they think it could be the end of the road for the battery. A new battery is about £300 and it'd be awful to buy one and then realise that it's still doing it.
