Donald Trump’s “Concepts” of a Healthcare Plan: Make His Voters Pay
A mere day after promising to safeguard Medicaid, the president endorsed a budget proposal that would slash the program, presumably to subsidize $4.5 trillion in tax breaks.

Bring back the trolleybuses. Who remembers them? I don't remember any catching fire and I don't think they had to stop to charge up.

I do, we had them in Bournemouth and very good they were, when operating. Their great weakness was their inability to handle sharp corners, derailing the current pickup arms with depressing frequency. Some spots were notorious, their turn from The Square in the town centre into Richmond Hill often caused traffic jams while the conductors tried to relocate the pickup arms.

Our South London trams are much better, faster, great hill climbers, able to carry at least 300 and don't have current pickup trouble with their pantographs only for the positive supply. That's the ideal mix we have now, trams for core busy routes with tram interchanges at which all battery e-bus routes call, filling in the other routes. Our contactless system means swapping from bus to tram or vice versa uses the same cheap fare for up to an hour, regardless of distance or routes.

"Production shifted to China while UK plant is (fixed)". Yeah, they 'fixed' it alright, or something rhyming with..!
Bets on how long until BMW Oxford is 'Minimised'?

the whole world is getting their BEVs made in China and sell on design and software. Why reinvent the wheel and make life more difficult for ourselves ? China already makes Tesla cars for the whole world except Trump's homeland. Honda and Toyota do the same.

Ah, I see why the cars are electric.
No gas stations ..
But, I didn't see any charging points either, oops :)
I don't think it will be a problem.
we already got 15,000 charging points. More will be added when the market develops. New cars can now have 10%-80% topup charge in 10 minutes. Not many will even need that long because it will invariably cheaper to charge at home. People will book their charging time slot on the network, so there won't be much queue at the charging points.
BYD has recently announced that they will make their FSD version called 'God's Eye' free of charge on all their EVs. Their FSD is already available on some of their models. Recently, their cheapest BEV costs $10,000. That's alone, will change the way people use cars in cities. BTW, they may make it open source in the future. That will be revolutionary.
There are car to car battery chargers on the market to help you limp home if you are totally out of juice.

Problem with some vans is when they become milk float versions MOT stations won't be able to MOT them because of the weight and what their ramps can carry.
Also larger vans will go over the 3.5t limit and will need to visit a HGV testing station . Todays licence category's will also prevent the younger generations from driving said vehicles.

I can see the problem if the ramp can't lift the van. However, about driving licence, if the van is battery powered, thet get 1 extra metric ton allowance for their battery, the 3.5T becomes 4.25T.
Renault Traffic LWB High Roof, unladen weight: 2,498kgs, payload 1086kgs.
Gross vehicle weight increased for electric vans

I agree it won't be problem, that's just the rapid chargers. There's another 45,000 slower public chargers, quite a few of them free to use. Plus over 80% of EV owners have their own fast chargers at home and there's a million of those, one per car.

Fast charging kills batteries, yes?
Please tell us of any bike chargers you have over 2 amps, thanks.
Oh and the batteries are dying early, and the new ones don't fit! :)
