Not enough grid or generating capacity for even 80 new homes and some want us to charge a million electric vehicles.. ha! Dream on
Half the country’s electricity substations have little or no capacity to connect new housing or other developments, analysis of the power network shows.

Now ? Right now, yes and absolutely.
But this is effectively new, with more countries and mainly their populations realizing that climate change is real and now presenting serious problems around the world.
So for domestic use, we'll all be driving electric, and as investment builds and more take up E-cars, investment will skyrocket and allow the infrastructure will be built to meet demand. If that involves more power generation, including fossil fuel*
*fossil fuel power stations.
Currently we(in the UK have fossil fuel power generation along with 34 million vehicles(cars, vans, taxis etc.
Cut 34 million fossil fuel burning vehicles then we could even build more fossil fuel power stations and it would still be an immense saving on Co2 etc emissions
Well never stop using fossil fuel for ships, making plastics and all the other things can be made from it, as it is an important resource, but we can cut down on its use and keep it for the above uses.
I suppose when dealing with this subject, critical thinking skills are important, so you dont sound like some low iq conspiracy nutter
