People used to laugh at the notion of the 'Illuminati'.

Now they're not so sure.

But it was obvious as to how it would all go.
Decades ago I predicted that in the end all our ruling parties would be filled with millionaires and billionaires, who would make huge profits out of the country(the peoples money) while at the same time telling the public that times were hard and they would need to tighten their belts yet again.

Trump is wielding a wrecking ball through ignorance.
Ambiguous: though I agree with what you meant.

Sadly, Trump's a wrecking ball is not being wielded at ignorance, indeed he working hard to promote ignorance.

I have a suspicion that Russia is doing the spreading to help Trump.

And we're gonna need em, coz Urzula vants dat US gaz by tanker für yearz und yearz, yep.
So keep a picture of her with you, and stay warm thru d winter! :)
We still need to buy gas for the foreseeable future, albeit demand for gas will diminish 10 years from now.

That MGUY shows up his ignorance. Just look at how far the first motorised airplane could fly.
I thought you could have seen it by now.

Investment returns, Zero
Environmental protection, Zero
Economic sense, Zero. So that's what it means!
you know that's non-sense, right? Some technologies are still scaleable to gain efficiency, others have reached their best. Coal powered the industrial revolution for hundreds of year but it's being phased out, meaning no longer used for producing electricity. Oils are being phased down now. In 10 years, oil and gas will only be used as backup. Solar yield now hits 35%-40% with bifacial panels, even higher if combined with producing hot water. All metal Lithium batteries and solid state batteries have doubled the energy density of Lithium-ion, up to 800WH/kg, and there is still scope for them to still double that. The day that passenger airplanes will fly on batteries is not very far away, possibly in our lifetime. People don't invest because their brain has been infected with the environmentalist virus. They invest in solar and wind because it's based on solid economic case. You should look at the predictive cost of producing electricity from shale gas for near and medium term. It's as dead as the dodo. You've got to be mad to put money in it.

I asked ChatGPT to check out the UK and Ireland prospects to bring Rolls Royce's SMRs to compete with UK and Ireland wind farms on dispatchable energy basis (24x7). For the UK, it's about 140GW at ~£70/MWh . As electricity demand grows by 2% par annum, the tipping point is not that far away.

This is something the public seem to struggle with. Mainly I think because of the right wing newspapers who are tied(sometimes in marriage) to those controlling fossil fuel wtc production.
They are being led to believe that we would cease all oil and gas exploration, extraction etc overnight. That it would just end.

Industry needs oil and gas. Heavy fuel oil in ships, through to heat generation for us in ceramics and glass making.
Its used in medicine, production of industrial and commercial products like clothing manufacture.

So we arent looking to replace it wholly , just cut down on its use in places where that is easier to achieve.

Nuclear fusion will still be a prototype for as long as we still work only on Deuterium - Tritium fuel. The big problem with fusion is D-T reaction produces high energy neutrons.
D-D reaction produces less energetic neutrons but requires 10x hotter plasma, a billion degrees C and even higher to have a decent fusion rate. The only practical aneutronic fusion reaction is proton Boron or p-B11, 3 billion degrees C.

Fusion candidates:

D–T (deuterium + tritium)He-4 (3.5 MeV) + n (14.1 MeV)High (80% of energy in neutrons)Easiest to ignite, hence ITER, NIF, SPARC, etc.
D–DHe-3 + n or T + pModerate (50% branch makes neutrons)Used in labs, but harder than D–T.
D–He-3He-4 + pLow (mostly aneutronic)Main product is charged particles, but side reactions (D–D) still make some neutrons.
p–B¹¹ (proton + boron-11)3 × He-4Aneutronic (≈100% in charged particles)Requires ~3 billion K (~20× hotter than D–T); produces lots of bremsstrahlung radiation losses.
p–Li⁶2 × He-4Mostly aneutronicLess common, also very hard to ignite.

How many Rolls Royce smr's RUNNING on *UK*- Zero
How many are Under Construction? Zero
How many are even Planned? Zero? Oh 3!
Net Zero Sense = Nonsense
"The UK plans to build three small modular reactors (SMRs) with Rolls-Royce SMR as the preferred bidder, aiming for the first to be operational by the mid-2030s. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to increase the country's nuclear capacity significantly. https://duckduckgo.com/?q=how+many+smr+in+uk&ia=web&assist=true
