I was just wondering if this applies to a variety of motors generally, well, specifically the bafang cst 250w 180 mm,and even more specifically, whether the insides of a nice cheap 350w (or even 500w) bpm or bpm2 or any other motor from that family could fit it please? I haven't burnt mine out (yet?) but I'm going to increase the volts to 48.

in principle, yes. You can't swap a 500w Bafang with a 350w one, though. They're similar, but not interchangeable.

Got it. Thanks. So a 48v 350w bpm insides could in principle go into a 36v 250w (350w) cst,but not say the 500w insides. I see some issues with the cartridge mechanism, are these difficult to overcome?
