Finding my (electric) wheels

Hi there,

I'm new to this. Looking to add a rear motor to my steel framed 29er to give me some extra assistance on my hilly 17 mile commute. I'm already a keen cyclist but would like to try and get some consistency on my commute as the current ride time can fluctuate by 30 minutes depending on wind conditions and tiredness.

Ideally I'd like to go for the XF08 CST kit from Woosh but it's out of stock for 2-3 weeks and I'd like to try and get something sorted sooner (Cyclotricity also has a long lead time). I like the option to use my own 10speed cassette as I'm likely to want to return to my non-powered wheel from time to time.

Can anyone recommend an alternative, ideally I'd like it to be 250w as I want to ride it on the road. I've taken a look at the Yose Power options but they all seem to start at 350w.

Many thanks,

Tim

That's interesting, might give that a try re Woosh.

I'm also open to the idea of getting a wheel built up as it means I can choose the rim width etc.

Thanks for the info.
