I am very pleased with the Wisper and the communications I have had with the folks at Wisper to earlier questions have been spot on. The old saying is probably right in that you get what you pay for.

The forum is an invaluable source of information thanks to people like you that help people like me that are new to the e-bike scene.

You get what you pay for

Not to happy about the last couple of quotes as all the bikes we have supplied, (only one problem, sorted quickly) have been backed up by a full service and we are always happy to take calls from customers with any questions.

We have been in business for over a year and have kept a lower profile rather than jumping in blind and making a complete mess of it as some other ebike retailers have done And to the quote of "you get what you pay for", is not a great guide as with many bigger companies you will be paying for extensive overheads, and profit for a very similar product.

Our e bikes are made by a small factory who we have worked with over 18 months, we are working on small margins and keeping our cost base down, we think these bikes represent a excellent balance of quality and cost, many parts are shared with more expensive bikes.

I fully agree on this Darren and would describe the Rush Trek value as outstanding, even beyond excellent.

But however hard you try, the service on an ebay product sold by an agent cannot remotely equal that obtainable by the customer when they buy from a local dealer with the highest level original manufacturer backup, which was the comparison I spoke of here.

To show no bias, if you look at the link below you'll see that at the same time yesterday I recommended your bike to someone else whose budget cannot stretch to higher price bikes:

Hi John,

The answer to your question is quite simple, I'm very much alive and well and still living in dreary old Swindon.

As has previously been stated, Members leave the forum for their own reasons, In my case the forum suddenly became a hostile and somewhat unfriendly place. Hence my return to quietly "lurking" in the shadows. Those who subscribe to the Jack-the-lad culture invading every part of our lives will thrive in such an environment.....but it's not for me. I will of course maintain my membership as I very much enjoy viewing the photos of other members projects and acquisitions.

Updates of threads originated by me were stopped for the above reasons. In the case of Voyager, I was "relieved" of ownership of the machine a few weeks ago....It's current location remains unknown.

Sorry to hear of your loss Bob, and equally sorry to see you "lurking" rather than taking the more active role you used to. It was your very detailed and supportive replies to my enquiries that helped me take the plunge into the world of e-biking!

I posted an honest and accurate reply to Richardmu's question, to which Darren of 720cycles objected with an answer which was neither relevant nor accurate in relation to the Wisper/Rush Trek comparison.

Then you posted this:

I think we should all welcome new bikes and suppliers to widen choice for everyone. Time will tell how good, bad or ugly they are.

Sorry for the confusion and tantrum a bit earlier...

I would like to think that the rush trek is just as good if not better than some of the more expensive brands and really do think its good value for money.

If any of you guys are near Lincoln or Leeds then come and give it a test ride as any comments will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply John. I welcome new low cost entrants and as you see above, I've not hesitated to recommend the Rush Trek to someone it would suit. However I like to view them for what they are and not pretend they are equal to bikes at much higher prices, prices for which there are usually fully justifiable reasons which are in customers interests.

Hi Darren good to meet you again.

As you know we too are a small company working with a trusted supplier. We too work on tight margins and keep our overheads very low indeed. We do have a full time service manager, Norman who works with our dealers and customers to offer help and support is our only real luxury but we regard him a a necessity now we have so many bikes on the road.

Wisper bikes too are excellent value considering the high quality of products used in their manufacture.

I am absolutely delighted to see you are still here in the market place, you obviously know what you are doing and have your heart in the right place!

There is a lot of competition in this ever-growing market offering all levels of quality and service. However I believe the cream will rise to the top, hope see you there!
