Thanks for the write up Dave.

I guess you could fit the Q100 but the Q85 is narrower which means you won't have to spread the forks.

Ps you mean this bit

No idea but someone may know.

Thanks for the photo. that's exactly the plunger. It doesn't reach anything. It just hangs there in space.
I'm going for a rear motor - boo hoo,I'm going to lose those loverly gears and have maybe a 7 speed free-wheel instead.
Just had a thought: Is it for checking suspension sag? The arm can be rotated round its fixing point to reposition it. Friction holds it in place.

There was a bloody great velcro strap round the back to hold it folded when it arrived. I'll fold it properly tomorrow and see if anything comes to the magnet. It's on the wrong side for the main bike. the aluminium handlebars fold down and can be made to touch it, but gravity holds them in place pretty well. The brake clamp is steel and can be made to touch, but the shape's all wrong to get it to stick to the magnet. Weird!!!

This is what the part that the magnet connects to looks like - now you’ve just got to find it!

I was eyeing up one of these in Evans Waterloo only last week - and yes, it did look very tempting. I’ll be most interested to hear what you think of it, and how you get on with the conversion.
