I don't know if this is of interest to anyone but the Chain Reaction website is selling this step-through at 599.00 which they say is a 70% reduction. If that 's right then even to my un- mathematical brain it sounds like a great buy, unless I'm missing something ?

I also saw these and wondered the same. Probably older technology but likely to be good quality.

It's not old tech, but it is unsuitable technology for most. The battery is a fast charge SCiB type which isn't suited to e-bike use since it's bulky and heavy for a low capacity (5 Ah) just to get fast charging. This in turn means the motor is rated at 180 watts with peak at 250, very low by today's standards when most are 250 watts rated with peak power of at least 400 watts.

The resulting unpopularity means selling off at very low prices.

There was a guy on this forum who bought the mens version. He found that the battery went flat at about 5 miles because he lived in a dip and had to start off uphill, which soon flattened the miniscule battery. BUT: Buy the bike, chuck the battery and controller and get cheap 36v ones from BMSbattery or whereever, and it should go a lot better and further. It could be a good bike for the money.

I've had a look at a review in the A2B mag and it basically says what everyone here has said but concludes that at the price its probably not a bad buy
