Mice are also incredibly brave and aggressive. Some years ago a cat of mine brought one in and plonked it down still alive. Getting down low to have a close look, I was staggered to see the mouse rear up on it's hind legs and punch a straight right onto the cat's nose. Didn't knock the cat out though.I thought that was shrews.
