The attached link leads to a newly-advertised ebike on ebay. The bike is slightly different from the usual fare served up on these pages and is worthy of a look, even if it's not the kind of ebike in which you might normally be interested.

I suspect there might be quite a few bids for this over the next 9 days although the seller hasn't got any ebay history which does put off some people. Given that even the cheapest Bionx kit costs a lot more than the starting price of this Cannondale bike so equipped, I think it's worth keeping an eye on just in case it turns out to be a bargain.

Obviously, Bionx batteries cost about the same as a semi-detached house so those not prepared to risk paying for a replacement battery in a year or two should not bid.

ps Now that we're officially in a double-dip recession thanks to the double dipsticks Clegg and Cameron, that battery may well be about the price of a detached house!

Superficially looks honest, and the BionX bought as a kit will have meant a subsidised battery price within the total. The price for a replacement battery currently is £1050, but they do have a good life, no loss of capacity noticed after over four years has been reported more than once.

well spotted! lovely bike and I would risk it for a biscuit if on the market for that type of bike...

Looks safe enough to me and if you got it anywhere around a £1000 a bargain I would think

still no bids...not surprised! a high start price just puts people of, all he will get is a bit of interest right at end.....could be a bit of a bargain!

Don't think he will get any interest, even at the end.

He has a buy it now price of £2150 and the bike has a reserve (not a high start price), this means he will be expecting somewhere near the BIN price. So all in all with no FB, unlikely.

Oh missed that...Not a cat in hells chance. surely that is more then new retail price, a waste of time.

Too right. He's bunged the BIN price on today - must be jesting, or inordinately optimistic.

These Aprilia e-bikes have been slated as very poor. When A to B tried one they rated it as one of the worst ever, all style and no substance with just about everything wrong. Aprilia gave up this brief attempt at e-bikes years ago after this and a hydrogen fuel cell powered prototype model.
