I thought i share my info

got the bike Saturday.

Seeing it in the flesh is awsome nice looking bike indeed

(i have 8amp batt at the moment till my 14amp comes shortly)

today was my first little ride i like to be honest i hardly pedaled and it moved me very well i am a big chubby guy with a false limb

i tried a short/medium hill in my area (with a gentle pedal in 2nd/3rd gear i did it easy) i am not what you call fit for my age so the semi fit guys this is going to be impressive to say the least

my only concern is maybe due to my weight the brakes was worse then my Salisbury e-bike when i 1st got that bike

i will not comment any further on the brakes till i have been out 5-10 times (fair run in time)

due to i was on public roads i did not try my off rd button yet

but i do know the perfect place to try:D i am looking forward to that soon i will update once tested

quick summery on 1st ride out

for the semi disabled rider like me this is looking good for Wisper

build and look of bike 9/10
(1 of the sexiest bikes out there IMO)

tyres and wheels 10/10
(personally i like the puncture proof as standard we need that peace of mind)

control layout 8/10
(can turn power off by mistake, i am sure as time goes on you learn to adjust)

power of bike 10/10
(for my weight i was impressed this bike likes the bigger build man)

battery life (info to come when 14 amp battery lands)

brakes (info to come)

suspension forks 10/10
(very impressed)

handle bars 10/10
(what a great feature to move handle bars up and down easy)

i am sure as time goes on i will get fitter and fitter by using pedal assist more then the throttle, and at the same time i will lose my big belly and get lighter in weight

Thanks Wisper making a 36 year old man enjoy bike riding again and seeing the world away from a car;)

:D :)

Well done for taking the plunge. With a disability its easy to sit back and do nothing and bemoan your misfortune.I take my hat off to you Steve (if I had one)

A disable person can do everything a normal person on electric bike,

I have had gammy knee for a few years and had an accident at the beginning of the year which made me drink more heavily but the e bike help balance this and keep bit fitter and docter said it is good fizio.

thx

Bob

Good info Steve

I've been using my Wisper SE Sport every day last week to go to and from work, the football yesterday and the church today. I tend to doouble lock it - better to be safe than sorry!

I've got to say I've read the various posts about brakes and so far have found then to be okay on mine. They seem better now they have bedded in than when I first got the bike. I do tend to use the back brake quite abit, a habit picked up from years of cycling and motorcycling. So I'm not relying heavily on the front brake

Anyway, have fun! I'm sure you'll enjoy the off road button too :D

I would try and use the front brake more than the rear,of course hit the back brake first but try and use the front brake more to bring you to a stop, the reason being the motor is in the rear wheel and is best treated lightly,i have a works 905e that the rear v brakes brakes eventually wore out the rim of the wheel, the front wheel is very easy to replace, the rear is very awkward or very expensive.

Brakes

Hi Steve well done mate it all sounds superb.

Regarding the brakes, there really should be nothing a bit of adjustment wont cure, if you speak to your supplier or failing that Norman at service@wipserbikes.com we will sort it out for you.

All the best David

Do my eyes deceive me? An accident..... made you drink more heavily? I enjoy a good drink like the next man, but I'd never dream of making such an excuse for it. Remember there's always an element of choice involved. ;)
