Over the past 5 days I have completed approx 5 journey covering around 11 miles

mostly using pedel assist, but as i live in a fairly hilly area all journeys have included some full throttle

I did a 3 mile journey this morning again combining pedel assist & full throttle with pedeling up 2 medium hills. Asi pulled into work i noticed that power started to fade, I got no power with full throttle & a tiny bit of power with assisted.

the battery meter on the battery has only down to 50%

luckily i bought my charger into work with me, it has taken 4 hours to bring it back to full

im a little worried that the battery my be faulty, NO POWER AFTER ONLY 11 MILES!!!

is this normal?

Two things Donna. Poor battery connections can be responsible for a power fade and you've just had trouble pulling the battery out of the bike's carrier, so it's worth unplugging and replugging to check that out.

The other is that battery performance drops markedly in cold weather and this morning was very cold in most parts of the UK. I'd guess the bike was probably outside the house overnight so the battery was very chilled to start the trip.

Now you have it recharged and after replugging the battery, try it again and see if it repeats the poor performance.

Ok thanks for that

My bike is in my garage all night. i will start to take the battery off the bike at night & bring it in doors.

I start my journey home in a couple of hours so I will see how it performs then
