I've always liked these short-link parallelogram seatposts, but they have been almost impossible to source for well over a year now.

Suntour claim to have competely re-designed this post (looks the same to me  ).....and guess what!...the price has nearly trebled. The last one I purchased cost £27.

At almost £70, still way cheaper than the market leading Thudbuster though, they are from £95 to about £112 online.

I paid £110 + £5 postage from Germany for a Thudbuster ST they are over £150 here. it is a superb piece of kit. This looks similar when you first look at it but ST uses different elastomer's depending on your weight. Dont these work better then a shock? particularly at an angle?

Get the right size and right shims and you can interchange with other bikes.....

I do get the idea of how it works and what it does, I also get what eddieo says about right sizes and shims for 'interchangability', ... but could this effect not be done just as well with a decent saddle ?

Time for a google me thinks :)

EDIT

No... lol
