Well I'm back from from holiday, not a lot to report other than that the South Hams region of Devon is very hilly, far worse than anything I've previously experienced in that the majority of the land mass is at 400-500 feet, punctuated by frequent descents to virtually sea level meaning many steep climbs of several hundred feet and a range of less than 15 miles per battery. The second week in the Somerset Quantocks was a breeze by comparison, still hilly, but only about half the height of the South Devon hills so range was much more usable.
I did find an another use for the Torq, fetching water supplies shown below, 15 litres easily being managed in a trip. Of course every time I was seen filling the bike mounted container led to the inevitable jokes.
The solar panels did supply a small part of the bikes electricity supply, although there simply are not enough sunshine hours now to do more, hence the orange mains cable that the more observant may have spotted!
