Many months ago ,i bought my Tonaro Bighit ,and i always spoke of her as Simply the best ,and why not, i had rode her ,i knew what she could do ,and i never asked her to do any thing that i thought may be beyond her capabilities ,even had to sleep with her in my Romahome camper ,when we had left it too late to book into a camping site ,
So on we went mile after mile ,beautiful places to see ,we shared it all ,and we stumbled on ,as some folk on this very forum ,thought she was only fit for the skip ,infact an over weight ugly piece of junk , slow as a mule ,Well i had a dream ,i knew she was beautiful ,and strong ,and capable of out performing the fastest , but would it be too much to ask of her ,would we dare ,or would we end up The sad Tonaro and the fool on the hill ,My dream was to ride the The Great Orme , now i know some bikes have made it up to the very top ,and loads havent ,but could the Tonaro make it to the summit ,well heres the link to the video .
its called The Tonaro Simply the best ,sorry about the helmet action cam
but it sure bobs up and down when The Tonaro gets going
any ways heres the link The Tonaro ,Simply The Best. - YouTube

Brian, that is a fantastic video, the scenery is stunning...well done, it certainly looks a pretty steep climb.
Think if/when i get my Tonaro I will be tempted to come up and give that one a go :)
Thanks for sharing, really enjoyed that.......so.......you ended up the triumphant Tonaro duo on the hill :)
Best wishes,
Lynda

Hi Lyn and thanks a million ,its just a pity the action cam packed in before i reached the top as the camera doesnt show how really steep the Great Orme is ,and if you do end up with your Tonaro ,put my name down to ride along side you , hey The TWO Tonaros ,hey Gringo ,lol best wishes Brian.

Nice video glad your still enjoying the bike on your leisurely rides.

Think I should go out and enjoy my bike more instead of using it just to commute!

Congratulations scarrabri!
I admire your positive enthusiasm.
The Tonaro seems to be a great Ebike and I would love to be able to try one on my work commute and make a comparison to my Bearprint hub driven bike.
Do you think the crank drive multiplying the bikes gearing gives improved climbing over a hub motor? I would imagine so and wonder just how much better it might be?
Thanks for your continued feedback about the fun and pleasure your fabulous bike gives you.
Barry.

Hi Eddie ,go on Eddie ,just say it ,go on you know you want too ,well i will say it for you ,the Tonaro is Simply the best lol any way ,i will say she had loads of power ,going up hill ,and i did a lot of gear changing ,i got so far up on just assist ,and then the power 2 and the last hundred yards was on full power ,but it was so steep ,and the road twists around pretty sharp ,but an amazing ride ,brilliant up on the summit ,any way thanks Eddie ,best wishes my friend , just to let folk know .funkylyn had the same idea as yourself Eddie ,and also thought it a good idea if a face was put to the post ,so i thought this was a really good idea and did so ,so a big hand for funkylyn .

Hi Barry thanks so very much ,let me first say the excitement ,and fun of going on such a climb ,and the beautiful landscape ,whilst looking out from the summit ,is breath taking ,i thought when the Tonaro takes a look at the size of them there hills ,we would be heading for home ,but no ,so much power coming from the crank drive ,i dont really know about hub drives ,but what i do worry about ,is if the chain slipped when on full power ,i am sure it would strip all the teeth of the cogs .lol i also think the gears must help ,but i dont peddle too good ,and this was the ride of my life ,best wishes Brian.

Tonaro rules!..... all right!

Brian,

As a fellow owner of a Tonaro BigHit, I never doubted for one moment that you would fail to achieve your 'dream' of conquering the Great Orme. From my own experience with this machine, I just knew it could do it. Had it not been for the driving distance involved, I would have considered it a privilege to tackle that climb with you, good e-biking companions are rarer than hen's teeth these days.

Wishing you lots of enjoyable rides in the future.
Regards
Bob

Hi Bob ,thank you my dear friend ,and yes i certainly do not have to convince you about how good the Tonaro Bighit really is ,because i know you could learn me a thing or two about this wonderful electric bike
and i too wish you had been on this wonderful ,beautiful ride ,you would have loved it,breath taking
exciting ,to look out from the summit at such wonders ,and the Tonaro bighit has just given you the ride of a life time ,i have to tell you Bob ,half way up this brilliant ride ,just as you are tiring a little ,theres a beautiful church ,which i have filmed but not shown yet ,and a sign on the door inviting the weary traveler to come in and speak with the lord ,
So i opened the wooden door ,and it was beautiful inside a little dark ,but it gave you a wonderful warm feeling ,the Alter was stunning ,with the stained glass windows giving a glow i had never seen
in my life ,bibles all neatly set out ,as i sat ,it would be so easy to become emotional ,oh i did speak to the lord ,i gave thanks for this day that had gave so much ,with nothing expected in return ,as i arose
i am ashamed to say i asked for one more huge favour ,that maybe he could lend it to himself to give me a little push ,on the last very steep bit ,because i would be mighty grateful ,and thats coming from some one who isnt really a gospel kind of guy ,lol ,so there we go Bob ,a wonderful end to a beautiful day ,best wishes my dear friend Brian.

Hi ,and what great song by the Beatles ,i should have been the 5th Beatle ,i never got to see the 4 of them together ,but in 1991 saw Paul and his band on his world tour ,it was at the Albert Docks ,it still makes me shiver ,when Paul pays tribute to John ,and George ,and theres thousands of electric candles being held as Let it be was played ,and Paul was in tears ,and so were the rest of us ,brilliant ,now where were we ,oh yes ,no there were no blast coming down ,lol not was it only one way ,but it was too steep to brake all the way down, lol oh the price of fame lol,it was a beautiful walk down really ,and i loved every min of it ,very best wishes Brian.
