My current bike always needs something doing to it.
Its a Trax TS01 which was £100 from Halfords so not surprising really.
After sticking the Dillenger 1000 watt kit on I found the brakes were not interested in stopping it, to the point where putting my foot on the ground was better than using the brakes !
£40 later I had a pair of Clarks hydraulic brakes fitted that can lock the wheels if required!
Next the front wheel(with the motor in) started creaking, but a quick tightening of the spokes fixed that (its been done another twice in the last 500 miles as well).
Next problem was a puncture caused by a road chipping(luckily only 200 yards from home) Unluckily at the bottom of a 15% hill.
Now got a pair of puncture resistant tyres on along with a pair of slime filled tubes and I also carry a foam aerosol can and a hand pump,
The gears both front and back became very hit and miss but a few slight screw adjustments and a tightening of the front cable seems to have got them changing almost perfectly.
Last week after travelling down the steepest local hill I noticed extra drag going up the other side so pulled over to see the rear disc was turning a lovely shade of blue!
I managed to free it off a bit using the battery key and rode the 3 miles to a friends house slowly.
A quick adjustment with a 3mm allen key and all was well again.
I have tightened the front spokes up again today(only 3 were slack) and all seems ok currently although my pedelec sensor has not worked for the last month.
This is probably a controller fault but Dillenger are sending me a new controller and sensor so hopefully by the middle of next week all will be well.
I am picking up an Apollo Evade MTB in the morning from Halfords and going to put a BBS02 750 watt kit on it so no doubt there will be LOTs to do to that in the next few weeks!!!!!!
Also thanks to DV8EH I have just ordered a 250 watt motor which \i am going to try and put in my chinese scooter sometime in the next few weeks.
