Hi All,

Tried to post this in the technical section but I am not allowed to for some reason. Just a quick question - how long should it take to charge an Agattu battery (Panasonic 26V 10A)? From nearly flat mine takes between 5 and 6 hours. When topping it up after say 15 miles, it takes about 3 hours. Is this normal? I am sure I read somewhere that it takes 3 hours to fully charge from flat.

Agattu charge time.

Hi Citrus

My first charge took well over four hours. Have done around 30 miles so far and still showing a good half charge so I've yet to find out how long it will take from fully discharged. Will let you know.

Thanks for the reply. I will be interested to see how long your first charge takes. My battery at the moment seems to last for 30 miles and then I have the flashing light (10% charge left), so you seem to be getting much more out of your battery than me. Although I have been using my Agattu in 0 to 5 degree weather and doing a fair bit of hill climbing.

It is a long slow charge, and that fooled even the experienced A to B people on their review into only using the battery not fully charged, thinking there was no termination indication.

Thanks flecc. That has put my mind at rest. I did think it very unlikely the battery would charge from near empty in only three hours.
