Tip. 14 mm pipe-wrench

My ebike has a pedal that needs a size 14 wrench but the enclosure is tight so you need a pipe one.
Draper 28967 6-Piece Box Wrench Set: Amazon.co.uk: DIY & Tools works fine.

For some reason this size is not common in tool-shops.


It was used with my currie / Izip Meerkat

Draper also do large spanners for the headset nuts at reasonable prices compared to the specialist sellers.

Thanks HittheroadJ. These size omissions in spanner ranges can be frustrating. Economic spanner sets usually jump from 17 mm to 19 mm in the upper size range, omitting the 18 mm size that's commonly on the spindles of the popular Suzhou Bafang hub motors. Buying that size individually can be very costly.

One easy way out of that is to modify an existing spanner as I've shown here on one of my sites.

Although listed as a "Fan hub spanner" two of these thin 36mm A/F spanners are ideal for adjusting the headset on my Brompton.

I thought £6 was a decent price (shipping in UK included). Before I needed this size I never realized they might be hard to get.
