Well, I have just got back and was surprised to get 20 miles on throttle only......I am so pleased I waited for this bike with the throttle.....its such a help from a standing start on hills, though I dont suppose i will use the throttle much apart from that.

Looking forward now to removing the sensor and having some unrestricted FUN :D

That seems very good for a throttle only ride considering you only got 24 when using the pedals. I may give it a go on mine now I am back in the saddle again after injury. I did just a little 16 miler today from Rowley up the Waskerley Way towards Stanhope - was great to be out but freeeeeezzzzing on them thar moors.

Ermmmm..........willin......I have it from a 'higher authority'......that apparently I'm not supposed to pedal at ALL if only using throttle....:D :D
( and I DID ...... a bit ........well ...actually.....I DID ) :D

I have never really used throttle much before........

Looks like I will have to do that test again .......the FUN will have to wait :(

Thought it was impressive LOL

Have decided to miss out on testing on throttle only.....its too boring .....I cant stand not pedalling :)
.
next test will be to see if I can get the bike through my m/home door......

So,the sensor is coming off and I will see if the range has improved at all now the battery is conditioned.

I cant believe how quiet this bike is..........

It's a strange thing about e-biking, riding at 15 mph on throttle only without pedalling seems slow as well as boring.

But pedal as well, even putting little effort in, and immediately it seems much faster and more engaging.

Throttle only is definetly boring and definetly feels unnatural when on a bicycle I find.

It also feels like your putting the motors out as least with your own strength you can acclerate out quick.

I can testify to that Flecc. Right now, I'm still recovering from an hour on my regular, non-powered tourer and it feels like I've had a real good workout. On my pedelec, the same journey is much easier but I still feel like I've had a decent bit of exercise.

If 15mph seems slow to anyone, try maintaining it for a while on a regular bike. Only an hour on a proper pushbike is sufficient for me to remember why I like my Gazelle so much!

Throttles! Leave them to those who really need them.

I still prefere throttle over pedelec just becasue I get to choose when to use power and how much.

Do you know what, Flecc, Scottyf, Indalo.........I set off just using throttle and it was so mind numbingly boring I thought ( apart from me not 'doing' boring :D )......this cant be right...........you just MUST have to pedal as well..........so I did.........so anyway now I know.......throttles for me mean a bit of help setting off up a hill or a quick get away in traffic.........

So now, back to the sensor off and a bit of pure fun again, really seeing what this bike can do.......I really like it.......it might not be as ''fino'' as some but its great fun and I am loving it :)

Does anyone cart these Tonaros around in their car? Is removing both wheels feasible and relatively easy? Can you readily remove the entire rear rack as well as the battery on these or the older model Tonaros? Would make it easier to fit in the back.

Cant speak for all the models but the Tonaro esprit has an easy release front wheel......cant take the back wheel off as its hub gears......and the rack is a pretty solid affair, so cant see how or even why that would help to take it off....unless, of course you are talking of the other models which have racks sticking further out....sure some other owners would be able to help you out there......but I wouldnt think they could be easily removed.
