I'm sure that they'll be able to come up with more daft ideas for us to laugh at.

Absolutely, Phillipe Starck has already made some utterly ridiculous contributions to motorcycle design.

It will certainly be amusing to see what they come up with.

I was just looking at a bike on the news pages above. Why do they always insist on smart phone integration - usually iPhone. What happens when you've got a different sized phone? Where on earth are you supposed to put a Galaxy Note 3?

How very disappointing, I was hoping it was going to be Jean Paul Gaultier or Vivienne Westwood:(

Here is Phillipe Starck's view of his own work:

OUTLANDISH motorcycle designer Philippe Starck, the man behind such 'memorable' motorcycling carbuncles as the Aprilia Moto 6.5 and the Voxan Starck Cafe Racer Super Naked has made a string of amazingly frank revelations about his work.

Speaking to German magazine Die Zeite at the weekend, Starck said: "All that I created is absolutely useless. From a structural point of view, the design is completely useless.

"I created things so much without them really interesting me. I was a producer of materiality. I have shame in what I have done."

I fully agree!
