Hi,
I was elated to find out that there were some conversion kits started doing tru-axles, only to be thrown back into my cave by the fact that they all seem to be rear-wheel tru-axles.
Of course if I was talking about a traditional double-diamond bike I would have no problem, even agreeing that a rear-wheel motor would probably be the better option. However I'm not talking about a traditional bike, I want to convert my recumbent. This is quite something special (cruzbike.com) where the derailleur sits at the front and thus the front wheel is a standard rear wheel and the rear wheel a traditional front wheel. All standard components, but front-to-back and the other way round so to speak.
With the majority of the weight on the rear wheel and the pedal power already going to the front wheel, it's clear that this needs to have a rear motor. So I've searched absolutely everywhere, but apart from the very expensive Grinn (ebikes.ca), I have not been able to find any other front-wheel tru-axle.
Anybody else come across one?
Thanks
Flying Dutchman
