TSD85F small hub motor - 83mm fork width 1.6Kg

Does anyone have info on the TSD85F hub motor?

It appears to be smaller than the original Tongxin 80mm motor but slightly larger than the one Jerry Simon is putting on his Brompton right now. Only 1.6Kg.

The attached graphic was taken from Outrider's website (Hangzhou Outrider Technology). I also found pictures and references on another website (Tongsheng Bicycle Co.). The dimensions in the graphic are too blurry to make out. But the 98mm motor diameter (not including flange) is about 13mm smaller than the original Tongxin 80mm motor.



I have emailed Outrider for info but have not received a reply yet.

Hmm... After more searching, it seems like this might be another designator for the Cute Q85 motor which is also 1.6Kg.

Outrider also seem to be aware and are part of the Tongxin Goldant motor development too. All very confusing.
