TSDZ2 - Not Working

Prices are good, UK based, quick delivery and aftersales service is superb.
Forget getting a TSDZ, they are dire! Bafang is a better, both in cost effectiveness and performance

Does any one here know of a decent company to deal with as I'll be sending the unit back and want nothing more to do with them.
It would've been so easy for them to apologise and send the correct unit out but no, lets go through pointless hoops and P*ss our customers off - utter morons

With these Chinese suppliers, sometimes you need to negotiate in a diplomatic way. A good solution would be to buy a replacement from them at a discounted price and sell on your 36v kit so that the price you pay for the replacement is close to the price you get for the 36v one. I did that with a Chinese supplier once, but I can't remember what the item was. It might have been a hub-motor or something entirely different. I can remember giving them the Ebay link so that they could see what I got for it. In the end, nobody lost much, and it was a lot cheaper than sending back to China.

We buy these things from China because they're cheap and available. You have to be philosophical. In the long run, you're still better off dealing with them. I baulk at the prices some people pay from the UK, but then it's creating jobs for people, so you're sort of donating your money to a good cause, sort of like charity.

Post #11 states the 36v unit has been subjected to 55v battery source. Doubt that has done the TSDZ2 controller a lot of good.... Result difficult to sell? Or return

The only thing you can damage with 55v is the main cap/s if they're not rated that high. You know when you've done that because you either hear a pop or a fizz, then a lot of stinky smoke comes out.

I would say that the 36v version is unlikely to have caps rated for +50v. Most electronics are built to a price, bulk savings can be made in lower spec components. Especially electrolytic capacitors, where higher specs are higher prices.....?
As I said in my previous post, it could be an issue trying to sell the suspect TSDZ if it cannot be seen proved working..... Just saying, other opinions are available!

It can go up to 60v (tested). Caps are 63V. All versions of the controller are the same. Only the firmware is different. In that case, it's possible to convert OP's 36v version to 48v, or better still, use the open source firmware to get a better contol system.

Mistakes happen wherever you order from!
Blowing off steam on here, probably wont get your unit exchanged!

Get a BBS02, a much better option. Ive got a 48v TSDZ2. Can not really trust it to cover any great distance.
The stock firmware is dire, and quality control on the unit is questionable.
