Since then I've used a dodge to achieve the swollen inner throttle grip shape John.

I just use some PVC insulating tape and wind it round the inner rotating section to form a mound, then slide a flexible piece of grip rubber over it. Tbe left hand twistgrip inner section swelling on this handlebar was formed in this way:

Actually, having 2 motors and 2 throttles feels quite natural, when opening the 2 together it feels a bit like wringing out wet clothes (yeah weatherman got it wrong again). Well that's how my other arf describes it, you've got to use your imagination a bit. :)

Good idea - looks very well.

I play a little golf and have changed the grips on my clubs several times. I think the technique for changing a grip might be useful for sliding the grip over the half throttle. Double sided tape with a little solution spread over it (white spirits will do). The grip slides over the wet tape easily and allows it to be moved into the right position. When it dries it gives a very solid fit and wont move until it is cut off.

Can you remember where you got the flexible grips?

It was Halfords John.

Another good solution for sliding the grips on is our old trade trick of using rubber solution, the sort used for patching. It's very slippery if the grip is thrust straight on in one go, but dries to stick firmly. However it's easy enough to break it's seal later if necessary without damaging the grip.
