To all you Royal bashers- would you really rather have President Trump? Be careful what you wish for -you might get it!:)

I'm neutral about the royalty, I really don't care either way, but there are old sayings such as, "Variety is the spice of life" and "A change is as good as a rest". After 1000 years, maybe a change is overdue.

However, you need have no fear of it Tyler, Britain is one of the most stick-in-the-mud countries in the world, very unwilling to make any change as the rest of Europe know only too well. Theme Park Britain will be around for centuries yet, albeit getting poorer all the time.

I wasn't interested in the wedding as such but pomp and ceremony and that sort of ruritanian thing is something we do so well, it'd be a shame not to do it occasionally.

Did anyone see the Viz Top Tip in the Sunday Times?

Young couples getting married, give your wedding a royal touch!
Get someone else to pay for it and then don't invite them. :D

Well, your many-times great-grandfather (Wat) got it wrong about the monarchy, too, TylerD; he trusted them, and look where it got him.

Well I am watching the wedding. It's a great honour to be able to witness our future king and queen marry.

It's a fantastic spectacle not to be missed. A rare opportunity to be very proud of England and also to export English excellence around the world.
Hey, what do you mean, England?
Last I looked, the UK included other places.
