I think prospective new ebikers just like to have a read whilst deciding if an ebike is for them. I must admit, I 'hovered' for quite a while (3 or 4 months) before joining, as I wanted to gain a bit of intel so as not to ask a silly question.

Don't be shy though, there's no such thing as a silly question, and there are loads of well informed technically minded super geniuses on here (me not included).

Or is it genii?

I find the site logs me out after a short while, so i'm quite often browsing as a 'guest'. Some forums i visit, i find i seemed to be permenantly 'logged in'.
Maybe some of the 49 are actually registered?

That should never happen Wurly, I've never heard of that with this site since it's inception. Are you sure it isn't a firewall or anti-virus software issue?

If it persists, PM administration to see if they can help.

If you log in manually each visit, the site will log you off after a period of time.

To stop this happening, when logging on, put a tick in the 'remember me' box.

I try to remember the 'tick' but i usually forget.
Call it operator error then.;)

I registered today after 2+ months as a guest.

Reason for not joining in the beginning is that your registration process does not accept hotmail.com email addresses. (not mine anyway)

I'm not a great form-filler-inner, so as soon as someone makes it difficult for me I walk.

However now I have a new email address :)

Welcome to the forum Bert, I've posted you an answer here on this link.

The aversion to Hotmail and the like is that spam posters use them to post spurious advertising.

I say that as I visit from 3 or 4 different devices :)

Interesting point DM. When I am on an alternative device, as I am at the moment, I always login in which case I am not a Guest, or am I?

All the ''guests'' may already have a registered, it's such a long winded process to be accepted, it took more than a month after my application.
I was on the point of giving up. I am so glad i didn't.
