Another GoCycle, just a prototype this time and despite what a Yamaha spokesman said, I very much doubt we'll see it on the road anytime soon.

Plenty of style appeal but not practical.

This is somthing we have been working on for some time now but did not announce earlier due to copy cat problems. Our 2011 bike which is currently in the drawing board and very different to our current models with lots of new technology has exactly this system. The Wisper HR monitor will vary the power to the motor so it is possible to set the bike to help burn energy at the optimum level for the rider. Turning your electric bike into a exercise bike that you can take on the road, not nearly so boring!

Hi David, that sounds amazing... so if your resting pulse is x and you want to work at x+30% (or whatever), you can work out your target max heart rate and when you hit it, the motor kicks in? So no cheating?
