Wow and wasn't it windy tonight on the way home. Thank God (or whoever or not is there) for assisted power :D

As you know my little DIY A123 battery can get me to work and back on one charge, but tonight I was using assistance all the way including going down hill (well inclines in Cambridge)

Interestingly as I pulled into home the battery ran out even though I had fully charged it before I left work fortuantely. That is the first time a full charge has only got me one way :p

Regards

Jerry

Hi Jerry

That sounds like it was tough! If ever an electric motor is warranted its in these conditions - I suppose the only thing is that it wasn't raining or was it? :)

Yep raining too but I now have my waterproofs sorted, to a point where unless it poors with rain for the whole 30min ride I stay pretty dry.

I need to sort my gloves out though as hands were still cold.

Im running pretty much the same as you but at 6.4ah,i recently limped home with very little power and down to 34 volts, normally i have at least 38 volts left ,after first suspecting a loose connection and checking all the pack voltages,i have since noticed the charger sometimes goes red and then goes back to green after just a couple of seconds, seems to be if i have treated the battery very lightly the charger(same or very similar to your one) is reluctant to come on, and sometimes requires switching on and off two or three times.
