With my 90 mile Berwick ride in mind I've been seeing how far I can get on eco assist setting on my Rose/Bosch bike.
The second bar on the indicator went out today at 38 miles.
The indicator has five bars and is fairly linear.
Even ignoring the last bar, I reckon a range of 70+ miles is possible.
That's cycling at a steady pace in relatively calm conditions over not particularly hilly terrain.
Cycling in eco is bordering on the agreeable as I'm content to tootle along, changing down to spin up hills.
Speaking of changing, my Alfine 11 hub shifts much more cleanly on eco, it's even possible to do so while still pedalling.
Two batteries should see me alright for Berwick.
