send it here as they can service it and fit a new pcb inside the motor.

not giant branded Yamaha motors tho!
as soundwave has said above or at least give them a call or email and maybe get a definitive answer without obligation.............

I did contact them. I agree that they're probably the best place to send it. Whilst their prices are very competitive and I'm sure totally fair, I might hopefully pick up a lightly used Yamaha motor on eBay.

if you send it in they will pick it up and then give you a quote to fix it or return it and all it will cost is postage.

Funnily enough I was thinking there would be just about enough assist to get me to work and back for most of the commutes I've done in the past when I was out riding it in limp mode earlier. Then I cycle a lot on non-ebikes anyway, so I've got a fair bit of leg strength. In saying that, the whole point of my ebike is that it's an alternative to my road bike for off-road riding etc so I too will need to get mine fixed somehow...

Let me know if popping a working motor into your Haibike fixes it. I'll do the same if I can source one.
Alright mate I’ll let you know, if I can find a pcb board for 200ish I’ll prob do that. Thanks for your help!

Yeah just emailed them asking how much a pcb replacement would be. Hopefully not too much. I’ll keep my eye out for a working motor.
Thanks for the help!

if it was any other motor forget getting a new one of those but they have the stuff to fix a pcb as long as its not to far gone it just depends what's wrong with it.

They told me that re-flashing the PCB can fix the issue we're having. Which makes sense. They quoted £82.50, plus £15.00 carriage.
